Ingredients:
Potatoes - 250 gms
Grated coconut - 2 table spoons
Jeera - 1 table spoon
Green chilies - 2 - 3 nos
Asafoitida - 1/2 tea spoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon
Curd - 1 cup
Coconut oil - 2 table spoons
Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon
Curry leaves - a few leaves
Coriander leaves - 1 table spoon
Coconut oil - 2 table spoons
Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon
Curry leaves - a few leaves
Coriander leaves - 1 table spoon
Salt to taste
1. Boil, peel and mash and take it in a thick bottomed vessel.
2. Grind together grated coconut, jeera and green chilies adding water into a paste.
3. Add the ground paste to the mashed potatoes along with salt, turmeric powder and asafoitida.
4. Boil them together till they become gravy and thick.
5. Switch off the stove and add the curd and mix together.
6. Heat coconut oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds and once it crackles add the curry leaves and coriander leaves.
7. Add it to the moore kootu.
