Ingredients:
Fresh Methi - 2 bunches
Alu - 3 nos
Green chillies - 2 nos
Mustard seeds - 1 table spoon
Black gram dal - 1 tea spoon
Red chillies - 2 nos
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon
Garam masala - 1 tea spoon
Cooking oil - 2 table spoons
Salt to taste
1. Clean, wash and chop fresh methi.
2. Boil potatoes.
3. Chop green chillies and red chillies.
4. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds and black gram dal.
5. Once the dal turns brown add the chopped red and green chillies.
6. Once they are fried add the chopped methi leaves.
7. Add little water if necessary and allow it to cook.
8. Once it is 3/4 th cooked add the boiled potatoes salt and garam masala.
9. Let it blend thoroughly and cook for another 5 mins.
10.Remove from stove.
11.Methi aalu fry ready. Serve hot with rice and ghee or even with roti.
