Green Gram Sabji(Moong ki Sabji)

Ingredients:

Moong                    -  200 gms
Onions                    -  2 nos
Ginger garlic paste  -  1 table spoon
Tomatoes               -  2 nos
Green chillies          -  2 nos
Ghee                      -  1 table spoon
Mustard seeds        -  1 tea spoon
Jeera                      - 1 tea spoon
Red chili                 -  1 no
Coriander powder  -  1 tea spoon
Jeera powder         -  1 tea spoon
Red chili powder    -  1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder    -  1 tea spoon
Salt to taste

1.  Wash and soak green grams for 5 - 6 hrs.
2.  Heat ghee in a kadai and add mustard seeds, jeera and broken red chillies.
3.  After the mustard crackles add the finely chopped onions and green chillies.
4.  Once the onions turns transparent add the ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell goes off and then add the finely chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, red chili powder, jeera powder, salt and turmeric powder.
5.  Keep stirring till the ghee splits and then add the soaked green grams and 2 cups of water.
6.  Cook till the grams are soft.  You can even pressure cook.
7.  Green gram sabji ready.  Serve with rice or roti.
