Green Chickpeas Sabji(Hare chane)

Ingredients:

Hare channe             -  250 gms
Onions                     -  2 nos
Tomatoes                 -  2 nos
Green chillies            -  2 nos
Turmeric powder      -  1/2 tea spoon
Red chili powder       -  1 tea spoon
Garam masala           -  1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds          -  1 tea spoon
Black gram dal          -  1 tea spoon
Jeera                        -  1 tea spoon
Cooking oil               -  1 table spoon
Sugar                        -  1/2 tea spoon
Salt to taste

1.  Heat oil in kadai and add mustard seeds, jeera and black gram dal.
2.  Once mustard crackles add finely chopped onions, and finely chopped green chillies.
3.  After the onions turn transparent add the finely chopped tomatoes, and all the other ingredients except the green chane.
4.  Keep stirring till all the ingredients mix well and oil splits, then add the hare chane to the mixture.
5.  Hare chane cooks quickly just like green peas.
6.  Keep the kadai covered and cook till the chana is cooked.  If necessary add 1/2 a cup of water.
7.  Hare chane ki sabji ready.  Serve hot with roti, rice or paratha.
