Ingredients:
Cauliflower - 250 gms
Potato - 1 nos
Fresh peas - 150 gms
Onion - 1 no
Tomato - 1 no
Green chillies - 2 nos
Coconut (grated) - 2 table spoons
Garlic - 4 - 5 pearls
Cinnamon stick - 1 inch long
Cloves - 2 - 3 nos
Fennel seeds(sauf)- 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon
Coriander leaves - 1 tea spoon(finely chopped)
Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon
Cooking oil
Salt to taste
1. Cut cauliflowers into small florets and shell peas.
2. Dice potatoes into 1/2 inch pieces.
3. Finely chop onions and tomatoes.
4. Grind together coconut, green chillies, garlic, ginger, cinnamon stick, clovesand sauf into smooth paste.
5. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds.
6. After mustard crackles add the chopped onions.
7. Once the transparent turns transparent add the tomatoes.
8. Cook till tomatoes are soft and add the chopped potatoes, shelled peas and cauliflowers.
9. Add salt and turmeric powder and cook for 4 - 5 mins.
10.Now add the ground masala and a cup of water and cook till all the vegetables are soft.
11.Add more water if necessary, let the gravy become thick and remove from stove. Garnish with coriander leaves and mix well.
12.Cauliflower peas kurma ready. Serve with rice, roti, paratha or dosa.
13.In the picture I have put only the subji without gravy.
