Ingredients:
Rajma - 150 gms
Onions - 1 nos
Tomatoes - 2 nos
Ginger - 1 inch
Garlic - 6 - 8 pearls
Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon
Ghee - 1 table spoon
Jeera - 1/2 table spoon
Salt to taste
1. Soak rajma for 8 - 10 hrs.
2. Clean and grate both garlic and giner.
3. Add the grated ginger, garlic and salt to the rajma and pressure cook till soft.
4. Heat ghee in a kadai and add jeera to it and once it crackles add finely chopped onions.
5. After the onions turn transparent add finely chopped tomatoes and salt enough for the onion tomato only.
6. Stir cook till the tomatoes turn shapeless and add the red chili powder and turmeric powder.
7. Mash the cooked rajma and add it to the onion tomato masala and boil it for 5 - 8 mins.
8. Rajma ready. Serve hot with rice or roti.
