Methi Alu

Ingredients:

Fresh Methi    -  250 gms
Garlic             -  6 - 8 nos
Green chilies   -  2 nos
Onion             -  1 nos
Potatoes         -  2 nos
Cooking oil     -  2 table spoons
Mustard seeds-  1 tea spoon
Jeera              -  1 tea spoon
Red chilies      -  2 nos
Salt to taste

1.  Clean, wash and grind methi leaves along with garlics and green chilies.
2.  Peel and dice the potatoes into 1/2 inch cubes.
3.  Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, jeera and red chilies(cut into small pieces)
4.  As soon as the mustard and jeera crackles add the potatoes and stir fry till potatoes are half cooked.
5.  Add salt and the ground methi leaves.
6.  Cover and cook till the potatoes and the methi is cooked well.
7.  Methi Alu subji is done.  Serve hot with rice or roti.
