Ingredients:
Plantain Pith - 500 gms
Potato - 1 no
Onion - 1 nos
Garlic - 4 - 5 nos
Red chilies - 2 nos
Mustard - 1 table spoon
Cooking oil - 1 table spoon
Jeera - 2 tea spoon
Coriander seeds - 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste
1. Cut plantain pith remove the fibrous threads from them and cut them into to small pieces.
2. Cut potatoes into small pieces.
3. Grind together onion, garlic, red chilies, mustard, coriander seeds and 1 tea spoon of jeera.
4. Heat oil in a kadai, add jeera and after it splatters add the cut vegetables, salt and turmeric powder.
5. Stir well and cook in low flame, covered.
6. After the vegetables are half cooked add the ground masala and mix thoroughly.
7. Cover again and cook till the plantain pith and potatoes and well cooked and mixed well with the masala.
8. Serve with rice or roti.
