Cauliflower - 250 gms
Carrot - 1 no
Onion - 1 big
Tomatoes - 2 nos
Ginger garlic paste - 1 table spoon
Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon
Jeera powder - 1 tea spoon
Red Chili powder - 1/2 tea spoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon
Fresh cream - 1 1/2 table spoons
Cooking oil - 4 table spoons
Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste
1. Cut cauliflowers into 1 inch long pieces.
2. Soak it in salted warm water for 10 mins.
3. Remove it from water.
4. Heat 2 table spoons of oil in a pan and add the washed cauliflower.
5. Keep turning the vegetable till the edges turns golden brown.
6. Remove from the pan and keep it aside.
7. Add the balance oil and add mustard seeds.
8. Once it crackles add the gratted onion.
9. Once the onions turn transparent add ginger garlic paste.
10.After the paste is cooked add the chopped tomatoes.
11.Also add the coriander powder, jeera powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt.
12.(Optional)Add the fresh cream.
13.Keep stirring till the oil leaves the masala.
14.Now add the already fried cauliflowers and chopped carrots.
15.Add 1 cup of water and bring it to boil.
16.Cover the pan and let the carrot cook.
17.Remove from stove.
18.Cauliflower carrot oriya subji ready.
