palak paneer

Palak Paneer is a nice oil free dish.
Its good with rice and roties.

Ingredients:

Palak(pasallakeerai)    -  250 gms(1 kattu)
Paneer                        -  150 gms
onions                         -  2 medium ones
green chillies                -  2 - 3 nos
Garlic                          -  8 - 10  pearls
cinnamon stick             -  1 inch
Fresh cream                 -  2 table spoons
Ghee                            -  1 tea spoon(optional)
Jeera                            -  1 teaspoon(optional)

1.  Clean palak and wash and chop.
2.  Pressure cook the washed palak along with diced onions, green chillies, garlic and cinnamon sticks
3.  Allow it to cool, strain the water and grind it in the mixer to make a smooth paste.
4.  Heat the ghee in a kadai and fry jeera(this step is optional)  This step can also be skipped.
5.  Add the ground past to the kadai.
6.  Add the diced paneers and fresh cream.
7.  Let the mixture boil for 5 mins.
8.  Your palak paneer  is ready.  It tastes terrific with rice, roti and paratha.
