Ingredients:
Channa - 250 gms
Onions - 5 nos
Tomatoes - 5 nos
Jeera - 1 tablespoon
Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
Clover - 3 nos
Cooking oil - 3 table spoons
Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon
Garam masala - 1 tea spoon
Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon
Garam masala - 1 tea spoon
Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon
Salt to taste
1. Soak the channa for at least 8 - 10 hrs.
2. Drain the water, add salt and cook till soft.
3. Heat kadai and fry the cinnamon stick and clover (dry fry without oil)
4. Chop tomatoes and grind it along with fried cinnamon stick and clovers.
5. Finely chop the onions.
6. Heat oil in a kadai and add jeera.
7. Once it crackles add the onions.
8. Once it turns transparent add the ground paste.
9. Add salt, turmeric powder, chili powder & Garam masala.
10.Once the tomato paste is cooked add the cooked channa and stir thoroughly.
11.After the whole thing mixes well remove from stove.
12.Dry channa ready!!! Serve Hot with dosas or rotis or parathas.
