Agathikeerai poriyal

Ingredients:

Agathikeerai         - 1 bunch
Gratted coconut   -  1 table spoon
Green gram          -  2 table spoon
Mustard seeds      -  1 tea spoon
Black gram dal     -  1 tea spoon
Red chili               -  1 no
Asafoitida             -  1 pinch
Turmeric powder  -  1/2 tea spoon
Cooking oil           -  1 table spoon
Salt to taste

1.  Pick the agathikeerai leaf by leaf and wash it.
2.  Then make it into small pieces(If it is cut with knife it will loose its vitamins. so it has to be plucked into small pieces)
3.  Boil green gram dal till soft.
4.  Heat oil in a kadai and add the mustard, chopped red chili and black gram dal.
5.  Once the dal turns brown add asafoitida and immediately add the chopped agathikeerai.
6.  Add salt and stir it till it becomes soft.
7.  Now add the cooked green gram dal and gratted coconut.
8.  Mix it and allow it to cook together.
9.  After 5 - 8 mins remove from stove.
10.Agathikeerai poriyal ready.
