Ingredients:
Potatoes - 300 gms
Coconut - 1/2 side
Jeera - 1 table spoon
Green chillies - 2 nos
Curd - 1 cup
Coconut oil - 2 table spoons
Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon
Curry leaves - a few leaves
Fresh Coriander - 1 table spoon(finely chopped)
Salt to taste
1. Boil potatoes.
2. Peel and mash.
3. Grind coconut, jeera and green chilles together into a soft paste.
4. Add it to the mashed potatoes along with salt, turmeric powder and asafoitida.
5. Bring it to boil and mix well.
6. Remove from stove and add the curd and mix well.
7. Heat coconut oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds.
8. Once mustard crackles add it to the potatoes and garnish with curry leaves and fresh coriander.
9. Alu in curd ready. Serve with rice, roti or parathas.
