Cabbage peas subji

Ingredients:


Cabbage               -  300 gms
Peas                     -  100 gms
Gratted coconut    -  1 table spoon
Fresh coriander     -  2 table spoons
Green chillies        -  1 nos
Sugar                   -  1 table spoon
Cooking oil           -  1 table spoon
Mustard seeds      -  1 tea spoon
Black gram dal     -  1 tea spoon
Turmeric powder  -  1/2 tea spoon
Asafoiltida            -  1 pinch
Salt to taste


1.  Finely chop cabbage and green chilles.
3.  Shell peas and half cook it.
2.  Heat oil in a kadai and add the mustard seeds and black gram dal.
3.  Once mustard crackles and dal turns golden brown add turmeric powder and asafoiltida.
4.  Once they fry (say 1/2 min) add the chopped cabbage and peas.
5.  Add salt and sugar and mix well cover it and allow it to cook.
6.  Once the cabbage and peas are cooked remove the lid and add the finely chopped corianders and mix well and cook for another 4 - 5 mins.
7.  Cabbage peas subji ready.  Serve it with rice or roti.
